The Gutenberg Academy (GA) and the Gutenberg Graduate School of the Humanities and Social Sciences (GSHS) are jointly organizing an RMU-open* Open Round Table on the topic “Between privilege and precarity: the many facets of doing a PhD in Germany”.

The event is aimed at anyone interested in the background to the current discussion about the future of the German academic system and in particular the promotion of young researchers. The event will also focus on gender equality and diversity issues.

PD Dr. Kristin Eichhorn, co-initiator of the #ichbinhanna campaign, and Dr. Sarah Widany, project manager of the National Academics Panel Study NACAPS at the German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies, were invited to take part in the panel discussion.

The event will take place on 27.03.2023 from 6-8 p.m. in the Dean’s Hall of Faculty 03 (ReWi, Room 03.150).
