Moritz Georg Albert Jahn – Inorganic Chemistry

Since 2024, I have been obtaining a doctorate in Prof. Dr. Streb’s work group, conducting research in the field of photocatalytic hydrogen production with the goal of developing more environmentally and climate-friendly alternatives to conventional catalysts.

As a member of the doctoral student council, I am committed to representing the interests of doctoral students and, in particular, to ensuring that doctoral students in Faculty 09 have their voices heard more clearly.

Jan Pietruschka – Immunology

I am currently working on my dissertation in immunology and am involved in the doctoral student council because I care about the interests of doctoral students and fostering dialogue among them. As spokesperson, I would like to help raise awareness of our concerns and actively advocate for our community.

Justin Leon Schummer – Chemistry

I have been obtaining a doctorate in chemistry since November 2025 in Prof. Dr. Carsten Streb’s work group, and my research focuses on the synthesis of precious-metal-free photosensitizer-thiomolybdate dyads for light-driven hydrogen evolution.

In the DoV, I am particularly committed to advocating for the interests and concerns of the doctoral students in FB09.
