Maximilian Pollmeier – Biology

My name is Max, and I am a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Molecular Physiology in Department 10 (Biology). In my doctoral thesis, I am investigating how gene regulation (particularly alternative splicing) in plants is influenced by different light conditions, such as white light and UV light, and what role DNA-RNA structures may play in this process. As the doctoral candidate representative, I want to work to ensure that the voices and concerns of all doctoral candidates are heard. I hope that through my support, I can help improve the conditions for everyone pursuing a Ph.D.
